The 2nd talks on building a border patrol bridge between Ha Lang district (Vietnam) and Longzhou district (Guangxi, China) took place on July 12 at the landmark 878/2.
Ha Lang district
(Vietnam) and Longzhou district (Guangxi, China) hold the on-site talks on
building a border patrol bridge.
At the talks,
the two sides discussed issues related to the Chinese side's construction of a
border patrol bridge at landmark 878/2. The two sides also clarified the bridge's
design as well as the construction plan to ensure the effectiveness of the
bridge without disrupting the natural terrain of caves, border streams and the
direction of the border; the environmental and ecological issues in the
construction area; and the harm the both sides' border territories. The two
sides will set up a joint working group to monitor and handle arising issues during
the implementation process of the bridge.
