Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Chief of the Standing Office of the Coordination Committee Trinh Sy Tai led Cao Bang delegation which included representative heads of: Department of Foreign Affairs; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Department of Transport; Department of Health; Department of Construction; Department of Planning and Investment; Department of Finance, Department of Public Security; Provincial Border Guard; Cao Bang customs; Management Board of Provincial Economic Zone; Management Board of Ban Gioc tourism site; People’s Committee of Trung Khanh district; People’s Committee of Ha Lang district.

On the Chinese side, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Head of the Guangxi Interagency Working Group Ban Huaqin led Guangxi delegation which included representatives of leaders of: Department of Culture and Tourism, Foreign Affairs Office, Office of Civil Defence and Border Patrol, General Border Guard checkpoint of Zhuang Autonomous Region, Department of Radio and Television of Chongzuo city, People's Government of Daxin district.

The two Sides conduct field survey at the tourism site on the territory of Vietnam

Before the meeting, the delegates of the two sides jointly conducted a field survey of tourist destinations according to the tour and route agreed by the two sides at the 3rd meeting.

On the basis of 08 meetings, the two sides have agreed on the construction works of the two sides in the landscape area such as checkpoints, border fences, traffic connections and pilot opening plan of the landscape site for tourists. The two Sides have regularly exchanged information to resolve related issues arising during the implementation of the Agreement.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on the following contents: type of documents used by tourists entering the landscape during the pilot opening period (passport, entry and exit permit, valid international travel documents of third country nationals), the route for tourists to travel and visit during the pilot opening of the two Sides in the landscape, sightseeing ticket fee, the focal point for coordination in organizing tourists from both sides to visit the landscape area, time for the opening ceremony of Ban Gioc (Vietnam) - Detian (China) border crossing.

The two Sides agreed that the construction of border works must comply with the Agreement on the regulation of Vietnam - China land border management. The two Sides actively report to competent authorities to ensure the progress of projects; exchange and learn from each other; develop plans to coordinate in the construction of infrastructure, tourism services, and special works to attract tourists to Ban Gioc (Vietnam) - Detian (China) waterfall tourism area.

The two Sides sign the meeting minutes

At the end of the meeting, the two Sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to organize the opening ceremony of the Ban Gioc (Vietnam) - Detian (China) border crossing and pilot opening for tourists from both sides to rhe landscape area in October 2023.
