Talks on cooperation in economic, cultural and social fields between Ha Lang district (Vietnam) and Dai Tan district (China) took place on July 31 in Ha Lang district.

Representatives of the two districts
informed each other about the economic, cultural, social development, and the
situation in the border areas of each side. The two sides discussed issues
related to cooperation in developing agriculture, industry, trade, tourism,
border gates, and border management. The two sides agreed to further promote
foreign exchange activities, cooperate in planting and purchasing raw sugarcane,
facilitate Chinese and Vietnamese travel agencies to soon meet each other to
organize cooperation and connection with the exploitation of Ban Gioc (Vietnam)
- Detian (China) Waterfall landscape site, including the exploitation of Daxin's
landscapes and relics to tourist attractions of Ha Lang. The two sides also agreed
to promote the completion of upgrading the pair of Ly Van - Shuolong border
gates to the main border gate and report to both sides' superiors for their
opinions on the time of official opening of the pairs of Ly Van - Shuolong
bilateral border gates and carry out procedures to upgrade the pairs Ly Van - Shuolong
border gates into an international border gates.
