Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines in Vietnam

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his pleasure to have the Philippine ambassador at the Conference and to have a bilateral meeting with him. The Chairman briefly presented the potentials and strengths as well as important achievements in socio-economic development of the province in recent times, emphasizing on tourism, agriculture, border gate economy, and other natural resources.

Regarding foreign affairs and friendly exchanges between Cao Bang province and the Philippines, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh kindly requested the ambassador to support the establishment of twinning relationship between Cao Bang province and provinces/cities of the Philippines, which creates a basis for promoting cultural exchanges, people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in all fields. He also proposed that the two sides should strengthen the exchange of delegations at all levels and organize cultural, sports and tourism exchange programs through activities connecting Philippine agencies and organizations.

Regarding agriculture, the Chairman hoped that the Philippines would support Cao Bang province in agricultural production and processing technology, especially promoting trade and investment cooperation in the fruit and vegetable industry of the two sides' businesses. Cao Bang would like to receive support and cooperation from the Philippines in the field of education. The Chairman hoped that the Embassy of Philippines in Vietnam would continue to act as a bridge connecting the localities, businesses, partners and investors to the province.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines in Vietnam H.E. Mr. Meynardo LB. Montealegre expressed his sincere thanks to Leadership of Cao Bang province for having him at the Conference. The event was a great and memorable experience for him. He wished to expand cooperation in education including the student exchange program between Cao Bang and a relevant province of the Philippines. He expressed his hope that he would pay a visit to Cao Bang someday for further understanding about the province as well as seeking for cooperation investment with Cao Bang province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his delight at the achievements between Vietnam and Israel after 30 years of establishment of diplomatic ties. The cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Israel continues to grow strongly and is increasingly connected in all fields.

Having the potential, advantages and mutual interests between Cao Bang and Israel, Cao Bang wishes to expand and strengthen cooperation with Israeli partners through the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam. Cao Bang also hopes to strengthen culture and people-to-people exchange, contributing to the promotion of cultural, socio - economic development of the province as well as the achievements of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Israel.

Appreciating Israel's achievements in applying high technology and advanced techniques to production in all fields, especially in agriculture, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee kindly requested the embassy to act as a bridge for potential Israeli investors, businesses and partners to conduct surveys and researches and then implement investment cooperation activities in Cao Bang. Cao Bang will always welcome and pay attention to carrying out investment support policies and administrative reform, improving the business investment environment, creating the best environment for investors to the province.

The Ambassador of Israel in Vietnam said that Israel is currently one of Vietnam's trade, investment and labor cooperation partners in West Asia. Vietnam and Israel signed the Vietnam - Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) in July 2023. He affirmed that the good relationship between Vietnam and Israel will be a favorable condition for the Government, organizations, and businesses in Israel to continue expanding investment cooperation, linkages, and exchanges in all fields in Vietnam, including Cao Bang province.

Besides health cooperation, Israel is willing to cooperate with Cao Bang in many fields in the coming time, including supporting and assisting the province in high-tech agricultural production. Israel hopes to welcome delegations of officials and students from the province to Israel for studying and experience exchanging in this field. The meeting will open a deeper cooperation relationship to progress to meetings for discussing specific tasks for the cooperation areas of the two sides in the coming time. As an ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yaron Mayer will act as a bridge between businesses and investors and the province.
