On the sidelines of the Conference Presenting Cao Bang, a number of connecting activities and bilateral meetings took place on the same day in the afternoon at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Peoples Council Trieu Dinh Le met with H.E. Mr. Hynek Kmonicek, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trieu Dinh Le, on behalf of the provincial leadership, expressed his sincere thanks to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, especially the ambassador, for the interest and affection for Cao Bang province. He briefed the outstanding characteristics and advantages of Cao Bang province with the focus on the potential for the development of tourism. Cao Bang has many famous scenic spots such as Phja Oac - Phja Den National Park, Ban Gioc waterfall which is considered the largest natural waterfall in the Southeast Asia and the world's top 10th most spectacular waterfalls. The province has more than 200 well-known historical and cultural relics. Non Nuoc Cao Bang geopark has been recognized as a UNESCO global geopark. All of the above-mentioned is an important condition to promote investment attraction and tourism development.

Cao Bang province also has favorable conditions to develop agriculture and forestry according to its own climate characteristics like the development of fruit trees, medicinal plants, dominant and endemic livestock, the afforestation associated with processing forest products. Many rich, diverse and unique products are highly appreciated by consumers. Moreover, sharing a borderline of over 333 kilometers with China with national and international border gates, Cao Bang province is a very convenient gateway for goods from Vietnam, ASEAN and other countries around the world to enter the vast Chinese market and has great potentials for the development of border trade.

Currently, Cao Bang has been implementing investment in the Lang Son - Cao Bang expressway project. In the near future, the expressway will add a huge new driving force to promote economic and trade development between Vietnam and China. Cao Bang also has the advantage of unexploited minerals such as manganese, cupronickel, iron, etc.

Cao Bang Province wishes to expand and strengthen cooperation with localities and investors in the Czech Republic. In order for the cooperation to be in-depth, practical and effective, contributing to promoting local economic - cultural - social development and contributing to the achievements of bilateral relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trieu Dinh Le hoped that during his term in Vietnam, the Ambassador would continue to pay attention to and support Cao Bang province in promoting and connecting potential Czech investors, businesses and partners to conduct surveys and researches for deploying investment cooperation activities in Cao Bang province.

On the occasion, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trieu Dinh Le respectfully invited the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Vietnam to visit Cao Bang province. He hoped that the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam would continue to continue to contribute to consolidating and developing the good cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic and act as a bridge connecting businesses and large investors to Cao Bang to conduct surveys and researches and investments in the province according to the Czech's strengths. The province is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for Czech businesses to implement effective and long-term investments in the province.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Vietnam Hynek Kmonicek expressed his pleasure to attend the Conference "Presenting Cao Bang" in Hanoi and to be introduced about the province's potentials, advantages, orientations and development priorities in the coming time. The Ambassador said he would connect with experts in the fields of mapping, geology, and minerals to provide professional support for the province in surveying and attracting investment in this field. It is expected that a business delegation from the Czech Republic will come to Vietnam in November 2023. Then, the delegation will arrange to pay a visit to Cao Bang province.

The Ambassador said that every year the Czech Republic consumes about 25% of tea output originating from Vietnam. The people of the Czech Republic are especially impressed with Vietnamese tea products. He hoped that in the upcoming time, Czech Republic businesses could cooperate with Cao Bang province in the field of import and export of Cao Bang's organic tea products.

Cao Bang province creates the most favorable conditions in all aspects so that Czech investors can seek long-term cooperation and investment opportunities in the province for the mutual benefits of both sides. On this occasion, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Trieu Dinh Le presented a gift to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Vietnam Hynek Kmonicek.
