A delegation of Cao Bang province (Vietnam) led by Director of Department of Foreign Affairs paid a visit to Jingxi city (Chinas Zhuang Autonomous Region). Representative heads and officials of Provincial Committee of Ethnic minority Affairs and Department of Information and Communication joined the visit.
The delegation paid a field trip to Bangliang National Nature Reserve in Jingxi city.
On the occasion, the delegation paid field trips to Bangliang Gibbon National Nature Reserve in Jingxi city (Guangxi, China), the eco-tourism tourism model at Equan Scenic Area, a number of orange and tangerine growing models in Huadong town. The delegation also surveyed the construction and trade situation at the Naxi border crossing of Long Bang border gate (Jingxi city, Guangxi, China).

At the meeting with the Jingxi City Government hosted by Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Jingxi city Weiqing, the two sides informed each other their socio-economic development situation in recent times, discussed a number of issues related to trade and border gates, and shared experiences in building, operating and exploiting agricultural and community tourism models in ethnic minority areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Director of Department of Foreign Affairs Pham Van Cao affirmed that the two sides, in recent times, have helped each other in disease prevention and control to gradually restore customs clearance and border trade. Friendly relationship between Trung Khanh district (Vietnam) and Jingxi city (China), Ha Quang district (Vietnam) and Jingxi city (China) were established. Cooperation contents under signed agreements and documents have continued to be implemented and achieved a number of encouraging results. He hoped that in the upcoming time, Cao Bang Province and Jingxi city would continue to cooperate in building a cross-border economic cooperation zone, upgrading border gates and border crossings, promoting the 2013 signed MoU "Cooperation in opening cross-border tourism routes from Jingxi and Baise to Cao Bang", and developing agriculture and human resource.

Vice Chairman of Jingxi City Government Weiqing expressed his agreement on the proposals of Cao Bang province and pledged to direct specialized agencies to promote cooperation in areas of interest to Cao Bang province. He also proposed that Cao Bang province soon report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam to send a diplomatic note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China to complete internal procedures to upgrade Longbang border gate to an international border gate.
